Students say the most rewarding part of this class is working through the many projects.

"AMA, or Advanced Multimedia Applications, has given me the opportunity to do many things, including making this website. I've gotten together with friends for fun afternoons of filming, learned how to make an interactive PowerPoint presentation, and had the chance to work with sound programs."  --Katie, from Clintwood High School

"Last year, when we were scheduling our classes for this year, I planned my whole schedule around two classes. They were SCA and your class, AMA which I had gained interest in after watching Autumn and Joey every day. The problem was AMA was 4th period, the only time SCA was and as the president I had to be in the class. Then my counselors told me I could block my classes together and take this one. Needless to say, I was ecstatic. I am so glad that it worked out in the end. This was one of my favorite classes ever. The projects were super fun and it allowed me to be creative. It also taught me countless lessons on utilizing my computer to make multimedia projects. These skills are going to be so helpful as I move onto the University of Maryland." --Michael, from Marion Senior High School

"AMA class is a class of our own creations. We create movies, draw pictures, and generally create a ton of different things, from artwork to funny cartoons, to original videos/movies, all while learning how professionals do it for a career. AMA has taught me many different things about how artists use computers and the different tools at hand to their advantage." Luke, from Council High School

"I have always been good with computers and taking video and other multimedia projects; however, I never knew the technical parts and the terms that show I know what I'm talking about. I would suggest this class to anyone that would like to have fun but learn a lot at the same time. This class will teach you things that will help you in the future. Say if you have a big business meeting and you made a PowerPoint. Then all the sudden you realize your bosses computer is the only one that works with the projector and doesn't have PowerPoint! luckily you remember what your awesome AMA teacher taught you! You create pictures or screen capture all the slides on your PowerPoint! It takes you 5 minutes! and your boss is very impressed and makes you head of the technical department because your small company doesn't know a thing about technology!"  --Zachary, from Marion Senior High School

"At the beginning of AMA, I didn't know how I was going to be able to do any of the projects. However, as the semester progressed, I found I knew more than I gave myself credit. When I didn't know something, Mrs. Wilson was always there to help me. She probably got a little aggravated, but she never let on to it. I would recommend this class to everyone. All people could use AMA to become a little more knowledgeable on multimedia and how it works, seeing as how we're making advancements in technology. This class was not only a learning experience, but a fun one."  --Kaytlin, from Clintwood High School
