Dual Enrollment Registration Procedure
PRELIMINARIES
Congratulations on your decision to select the dual enrollment course option. To register for dual enrollment with Mountain Empire Community College, you must be attending one of the following high schools:
- Central High School
- Coeburn High School
- Eastside High School
- Gate City High School
- J. I. Burton High School
- Lee High School
- Ridgeview High School
- Rye Cove High School
- Thomas Walker High School
- Twin Springs High School
- Union High School
If your school is not among those listed above, you cannot register for dual enrollment with Mountain Empire Community College. Click here to return and select the correct community college associated with your high school.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
If you have never registered with Mountain Empire Community College (MECC) or another regional community college, you must register online. Failure to register online will result in no dual enrollment credit. To register,
- Download the MECC Registration Instructions**. Right click here [PDF] and select "Save Target As ..."
- Go here (https://apply.vccs.edu) and follow the instructions - for students who have never applied - in the document downloaded from the above link.
**NOTE: The instructions you download above are for students taking dual enrollment through Wytheville Community College. Nevertheless, they are directly applicable except for the school name. When you view the instructions you download above, please replace Wytheville With Mountain Empire everywhere the name appears.
You should complete the MECC online registration as soon as possible.
