How do I view the archived class recordings?

To view Governor's School archived class recordings you need to first install the iLinc Player, which is accomplished through the download and installation of the iLinc Standard Client. (Windows Media Player, Quicktime, Real Player, and/or Flash Player cannot be used to view the class recordings.)

Read the answer to
Can I attend class from Home? on this page (scroll down) for instructions on downloading and installing the iLinc Standard Client software. The iLinc player is installed as part of the installation of the Standard Cleint. After you have installed the Standard Client the player is ready to use.

Play
You are now ready to view the class recording files that you have previously downloaded and saved to the computer upon which you have installed the iLinc Standard Client. (To save a class recording from any class archive page, right click on the class recording's file name, typically "Recording File", and select the "Save Target As ..." option.) To view the recording, open the player, which in Windows XP is accomplished by following the path

Start > All Programs > iLinc 10 > Player

With the player now open, go to

File > File Open

and select the previously downloaded file you want to view. Press the player's play button to begin playing the recording.

Each class home page has a link that will take you directly to the archived class recordings page. Visit your class home page and find the easily seen link.

To aid in your finding the archived class recordings page(s), the links below will take you directly to the recording archive for the class listed.

Please note that any one recording is typically available for only a two to three week period after the recording date.
 

 
How do I view Powerboard Files?

Before viewing a Powerboard file, you must first have installed the iLinc Standard Client software on the computer you will use to view the file. Read the answer to Can I attend class from Home? on this page (scroll down) for instructions on downloading and installing the required software.

Once you have installed the iLinc Standard Client software on your computer, open the Powerboard program, which in Windows XP can be accomplished through the path


Start > All Programs > iLinc 10 > Powerboard

Now open the Powerboard file you have downloaded to your computer. From the Powerboard program open on your desktop, go to

File > Open

and select the previously downloaded Powerboard file you want to view.
