PROBABILITY and STATISTICS
Project Number Two
Grade Policy
GRADE WEIGHT
Your project grade will be equal in weight to two test/quiz grades. The Project #2 grade will be used in the calculation of your grade for the 6th six-week grade period of the academic year. The percentage of the six-week grading period grade that Project #2 will represent will depend upon the number of tests and or quizzes during that time. For example, if there are 4 tests and/or quizzes within the six weeks, then Project #2 will be 1/3 of your grade. If there are 6 tests and/or quizzes within the six weeks, then Project #2 will be ¼ of your grade.
GRADE
Your project grade will be derived from your work as follows:
Report: 2/3
Presentation: 1/3
A letter grade will be assigned (e.g., A+, A, A-) to the report and presentation parts and the corresponding numerical representation used in calculation of your Project #2 grade. Letter/numerical grade assignment will be as follows:
A+ à 99
A à 95
A- à 91
B+ à 88
B à 85
B- à 81
Etc.
For example, if you receive an A- on your written report and an A+ on your presentation, your project grade will be:
A grade of 93.7 would then be recorded and weighted as two test/quiz grades.
