The Anatomy and Physiology class will be holding its LMU Spring 2018 Field Trip on April 4th and 5th, 2018. (The field trip was originally scheduled for March 11th and 12th. It was canceled due to inclement weather conditions.) Only students enrolled in A&P academic year schedule classes are eligible to attend. (A second field trip for block schedule students has taken place earlier this semester..) Students will be visiting LMU's DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and the College of Veterinary Medicine, both Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee. Anatomy students will be included in lecture, labs, and current research while there. Students will also take part in a discussion with admissions counselors and current medical students so they can better understand what life is like preparing for a career in medicine. Field Trip attendance will, in part, fulfill requirements for dual enrollment course credit.
The field trip will begin on Wednesday, April 4th at 5:00 p.m. at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, Abingdon, Virginia. (Once arriving at the Higher Education Center at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, students should report directly to their bus in the Center's parking lot. There will be no registration and/or meeting inside the Center.) The field trip will conclude on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at approximately 5:00 p.m. at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center.
