•Multiple-point Contact- makes (or can make) contact with a part at more than one point. These sensors may be composed of a series or matrix of simple single-contact sensors, thus giving some idea of the shape or heaviness of a part.
•Artificial skin- is a large touch matrix sensor that tries to imitate tactile responses of human skin (see figure 6-21 in your text).
